Day 9: Springfield Illinois & the Lincoln Presidential Museam

Saturday we got up bright and early and headed into Springfield Illinois.

Leaving Taylorville we were reminded how cute the area was.

I'm not sure what this car's message was all about.

We arrived in Springfield

Oh man Vancouver...you kill me.
Look at these prices.

Book sale!
I bought 3 audio books for our drive

P. Morgan, in the flesh

We headed to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum

This was possibly the best museum I've ever been to.
Seriously.
Interesting. Awesome. Lovely.

We saw two little theatre things -
hollographics and a movie with effects.
So cool.

The entire museum was so interesting.
Engaging at every level.
If you end up near Springfield, Ill you should go for sure.

We also found an civil war infirmary exhibition.

Candy shop!

Anyways...it was a wonderful day and a great way to learn about the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln. Very cool.

Vancouver parking prices suddenly explain to me why your dad didn't have a heart attack after paying to park in Cambridge for 2 hours! (it's stupid-high here too, although not as bad as NYC or Van)
